Option 1: The M4 metro — honestly, just take it
This is the rare case where the cheapest option is also the one we recommend. The M4 line starts right at Kadıköy and ends inside Sabiha Gökçen — its official name is literally the Kadıköy–Sabiha Gökçen line. No transfers, no bridge traffic, no surge pricing. You board at Kadıköy and stay on until the last stop.
It costs around 40 TL with an Istanbulkart and takes roughly 55–75 minutes depending on the time of day. Trains run from early morning until around midnight. The only catch is luggage: it is a normal city metro, so if you are carrying two large suitcases and a stroller, the taxi or transfer below will be kinder on your back.
Option 2: Private transfer
For an early-morning departure or a tired late-night arrival, a pre-booked transfer is worth the extra cost. Because SAW is on the Asian side, the drive from Kadıköy is short — usually 30–50 minutes — so the fixed fare stays reasonable, around 850–1.100 TL. The driver tracks your flight and waits if you are delayed.
Option 3: Metered taxi
A yellow taxi from Kadıköy to SAW runs roughly 750–1.000 TL on the day meter (06:00–24:00) and about 50% more on the night tariff between 00:00 and 06:00.
